Furlough, Day Umpteen

I am still alive. I just haven't felt much like being on a computer these days. I find I am angry, frustrated, disheartened and sad all at the same time over how little our leaders actually care about their constituents.

In short Boston was a really fun weekend. It was nice to get out of D.C which is a hotbed of protest and annoyed people right now. I've been doing my best to be as productive as possible but my mood doesn't always cooperate. Most of the interior painting in the condo is finished and yesterday I recaulked the seams at the back of our kitchen countertop. I have some more boxes that need to be filled. Now that we have a move date I feel more motivated to really start to get things ready. I finally was able to use the ZipCar membership we've had for the past 2 years for something. We were able to reserve a cargo van to move most of our stuff out the weekend after we close. It will be so much easier than renting one. Most of our furniture is staying for staging purposes and we are going to hire movers to move that after the condo is under contract, hopefully quickly. We are motivated to sell.

Today I am going to touch up some last paint spots in the kitchen and then try my hand at some easy electrical wiring work. Here's hoping I'll be getting back to work soon.
