Back to Things

I am back at work as of yesterday and things are slowly falling back into place, as I tried to convince Jake they would. It is confirmed we are closing next week on the house. We plan to move into it (for the most part) next weekend. Declan starts at his new daycare in a little over a week. We visited it last night and I think he will adjust, however, he cried, several times, because he was tired and because OMG! Strangers! I suppose if it were up to him he would want to be on the couch relaxing with one of us instead. Seems he is a big fan of Diane Sawyer.

There is something to be said for getting back into the same routine despite the fact that the regular routine is about to change. I can't help but think that although people seem convinced that a government shutdown won't happen again for a long time, it might happen again in January. At least next time we won't have such a big event going on and it will be a lot easier to roll with the punches.
