Yesterday I was productive! I made food for Declan and packed boxes. Woo! As we work on transitioning Declan to finger foods I am cutting back on the pureed stuff but am still mixing things with chicken and lean beef since he can't quite chew those well yet.
I slept horribly last night so today has been the first day I attempted to go back to sleep after the boys left. It sort of worked. I've mostly been relaxing though. I have a flight to Boston this evening and I am so glad to get out of Dodge for a couple of days. This whole situation is kind of getting me down. It just really kills me that our lawmakers just don't care about the welfare of any of the furloughed federal employees. Hopefully a weekend with the girls will be a welcome pick-me-up.
Also, I am watching Parks and Recreation on Netflix. It is very "The Office" -esque, but pretty good so far.
