Did you know?

So I have a carton of Edy's Samoa's Cookies ice cream in my freezer right now thanks to Jake. It's delicious. Did you know that this and many other flavors of Edy's are apparently not ice cream? I just happened to notice that the carton was labeled "frozen dairy dessert" not "ice cream" as I put it in the freezer last night. I quickly looked at the (almost empty) carton of slow churned Edy's cookie dough in there and it was labeled "light ice cream". For whatever reason, this made me very curious. Apparently the FDA actually now regulates what is allowed to be labeled as "ice cream" based on the amount of milk fat or milk solids the product contains. If this really intrigues you, find boring legal jargon here. Info on frozen dairy dessert is about 1/3 of the way down. Who knew? Image via Edy's website.

Now that I've bored you or possibly made you very hungry, I will bore you some more by sharing that I have reached a point in which I neither look pregnant or not pregnant (at least to me) yet most of my regular clothes no longer fit and I'm having a hard time dressing myself for work in the morning. I've been making keen use of drawstrings and hair ties to help things fit a little longer since the maternity pants I ordered just aren't quite filled out enough yet. I think I will eternally refer to this as the "I just looked like a poorly dressed idiot" phase. This is not meant to be a complaint by any means, just a general observation. I will, only because of request, post a "bump" photo once there is actually something more substantial to show. Right now it just looks like a food baby.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

I skipped the Edy's and went straight to the king of pregnancy desserts - Ben and Jerry's. Cherry Garcia now comes in quarts!

The "ambiguously pregnant" stage is the worst. I did the hair tie through the button hole and looped over the button thing for a while, and also pants unbuttoned but held up with large belt. For what it's worth, Old Navy has some pregnancy jeans that have an elasticized waist (with beltloops!) that stayed up better for me in the early stages, but obviously that doesn't work for work pants.

You know I have never seen quart-sized Ben and Jerry's in any of our grocery stores down here and I feel like I'm missing out! The pints are so expensive that I'm much better off buying Edy's on sale.

You know I don't think I have a single belt that would fit at this point, ha ha! I did get maternity jeans from Old Navy and love them. I also ordered one pair of non-maternity black pants in one size up from my normal size and I've been wearing them like 2-3 times a week. Luckily I don't think anyone has noticed. It just needs to get a little warmer so I can just switch to skirts and dresses already!

You are lucky, I am not looking forward to having to buy a jacket come October since I'll likely only need it for like 2 months.
