I Can Do It!

This is totally happening, I'm not just saying it! My coworker lent this to me and so I plan on finishing it in a reasonable period of time. I swear! We only have two episodes of Game of Thrones left to watch so I have no excuses. We saw the movie last weekend and I have to say I thought it was very well done. The suspense really drew me in to the point that by the time it was over I completely lost track of the fact that I'd had to use the ladies room for about 45 minutes of time. I'm looking forward to getting more detail from the book. The movie was followed up by a lackluster lunch at The Rock Bottom Brewery. I've had very bad luck with my food choices at restaurants lately. I typically do a better job but for some reason I've just been off lately. Also how hard is it to include on the menu that an item contains beans and corn? I wasn't pleased to be surprised by both of my food nemeses hidden in my enchiladas.

DC United has had 3 home games so far this season. We have attended two. They have yet to score in our presence although the one home game we missed, a couple of Friday nights ago, was a 4-1 blowout over FC Dallas. Figures. Things around town have started to calm down from a tourist standpoint. The National Cherry Blossom Festival continues although the blooms have been long gone for over a week. Now that Easter and spring break have passed I suspect to see a more moderate level of tourists clogging up Metro escalators and such. Our neighborhood has gotten very green and I love it. Over the weekend, after a visit from my folks, Jake and I filled all of our flower boxes with pansies and marigolds. Our large potted hydrangea has started making a comeback although it is currently pretty small. I hope get get some flowers from it come summer time.

What else... I've been watching The Voice again, I know I mentioned that. I have to say that Christina Aquilera made some improvements on her appearance between when the battle rounds ended and the live shows started. That hasn't really helped the whole "she's kind of a biotch" situation though. Also I finally got sucked into a game app on my phone. I was never pulled in much by 'Words with Friends' or the others but I downloaded and have been enjoying DrawSomething very much. I like Pictionary, I suppose that's why. I've connected to it through Facebook so if you want to start up a game with me, please do! I need to find more partners but I'm not willing to openly beg via my Facebook profile because I know a lot of people get annoyed by that.
