Someone please explain this to me because I really just don't get it. Is it like clipping things out of a magazine and storing them in a box or folder to use as future inspiration? Or is it more than that. Because I've never been a clipper/saver. I haven't really had much of a desire to sign up but those little "pin it" buttons seem to be showing up everywhere on the internet. I like to think it doesn't make me a total outcast to have no interest in Pinterest.
Yesterday was the one really nice day of the week and I wasted it indoors nearly all day. I should have stepped out for an afternoon walk but I did not. I did have a lovely dinner at Circa in Clarendon and then a nice walk down to Rosslyn to catch the Metro home. In a lesson learned moment, when exiting the Pentagon City mall on my way home I helped a confused couple by pointing them in the direction of the Metro. They returned the favor by trying to talk my ear off about something religious having to do with April 5th and the church of God, etc. I politely told them I wasn't really religious in hopes of getting back on my way and they replied they weren't either. Really? Seriously? Then why are you talking to me. I escaped without any printed paraphranalia which I deemed as a success. I will say this once, I have the utmost respect for other peoples' faiths and beliefs, I just don't want them crammed down my throat unwelcomed.
Tonight's agenda? A dinner date with my favorite almost 3-year-old buddy. One of my closest friends has two youngin's that I just love to pieces. The older was apparently very excited to hear we were coming over this evening. Little does he and his sister know I have a surprise for each of them in the form of some colorful sock monkeys.
