Jake was busy yesterday working on some modifications to the wall of shelving in our living room. We have a small computer desk incorporated into it but now we're going to move the big computer desk out of the guest room which means we have to widen the amount of open space in the shelving. It should work out very nicely once it's finished but I will admit it took me most of yesterday to convince Jake that some of the non-floor standing shelving pieces would need to be attached to the wall. He should listen to me, I'm a smart cookie! Now that it's starting to warm up we're starting to focus on some projects we have been meaning to accomplish. We've done a bit of clean-out/box up over the winter so I need to make a trip to the Goodwill soon. Jake is poised to install some under cabinet lighting we purchased this weekend in our kitchen. We still need to do our tile backsplash, we've been pretty lazy about it. I'm hoping that it will be a very productive spring/summer around our place.
So tell me if this sounds familiar: Liverpool lost their match on Saturday due to a late goal by Sunderland. D.C. United lost their home opener on Saturday due to a late goal by Sporting Kansas City on Saturday evening. Manchester City lost their match due to a late goal scored by West Bromwich Albion yesterday morning. It was not a good weekend for our football teams.
I walked past Sine Irish Pub this morning as I do every morning. The countdown clock to St. Patrick's Day was down to just over 4 days. This is exciting as Jake and I are headed up to Boston to spend the weekend with my friend. We're running the big Irish 5k on Sunday morning. I'm very much looking forward to the trip.
I hope the week treats everyone well. It's going to be in the 70's here in the D.C. area all week apparently, woo hoo!
