Thankful: Family

My previous post allows for a nice segway into my next, and probably most obvious, thankful post. I'm lucky to have a small but close family who have been there with me through thick and thin. I love them so much and it's nice to know I can always count on them no matter what. I've probably mentioned before but they've been there to help get me out of sticky situations and help me land on my feet, most notably when I had to store all my worldly possessions in their dining room for two months as a result of getting out of a bad living situation. I actually have photos of this somewhere, I'll have to track them down at home. I love getting together with my family because we always have a good time and laugh a lot. My parents are going to be awesome grandparents.

In a similar way I'm thankful for my family in Milwaukee too. We don't see them but a few times a year but Jake's parents are truly wonderful people. They have been completely welcoming to me and treat me like a daughter, which is such a nice feeling. They always listen carefully and are interested in getting to know me. And of course there's my sister-in-law and her brood (the four J's) who are always there to completely tire us out as all nieces and nephews should.

I'm lucky to have such a great network of support and I feel lucky because I know that there are plenty of people out there who lack good family support. They get by without it but I feel bad for them because to me family is an integral part of getting through day to day.
