Favorite Song

So as you have probably noticed I really like music. I like lots of different types of music although my taste in music is odd and sometimes questionnable. What I might consider a "favorite" song is usually on a limited time basis, until something else comes along that steals my attention. If I had to choose though, my favorite song of all time, at least up to this point in my life, it would be the one I happened to hear twice so far this morning, neither time from my iPod. Very unusual.

I fell in love with "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel in the 90's before I even knew about the movie Say Anything. Something about its strange haunting melody and lyrics just sticks with me. The actual video for it is kind of odd so I opted to just post a link to the song above. Through college and into my 20's when I still listened to the actual radio a lot, it was very rare that this song would get airplay. I had this strange belief that on a day when I did actually hear this song randomly that something special would happen. I don't necessarily believe that anymore but I still continue to love this song immensely. The female singer, if you didn't recognize her, is Paula Cole who toured with him back then. Amazing!
