A friend of mine sent me the link to this video at least a year ago I think and I loved it then and am still obsessing over it now.



My friend said the girl looked a little like me and I would agree particularly in the summer when my hair is typically wavy. I like the lyrics a lot though. It's a light-hearted reminder that sometimes life is a struggle but you get through, at least that's how I interpret it, and I can definitely relate. We all have bad days (or weeks or months) from time to time and the simplest thing can seem like a big struggle. I particularly like the line "and she fights for her life on the train" because there are definitely days on Metro that make me feel that way.

So thanks to my thoughtful friend for sharing this with me, I'm now glad to share it with all of you readers.

The network was down at work today and not just my agency, the entire umbrella. It was down until almost 3:00pm so we had to function without email, internet or access to our network drives (read ALL of my files). I'm not someone who attends meetings much and I didn't even have any reading or organization to catch up on. 95% of my work is computer-based so I had to find creative ways to fill my time. I'm glad we're back up now so that tomorrow can be a more productive day.
