The final two

So in photo class last week we all "voted" on each others' best photos to help each other decide which ones we would enlarge for our last gathering next week. The two chosen for me and by me have already been submitted to Shutterfly for printing and I visited Plaza Art on my lunch break to pick up two 11 x 14" mats. The teacher gave us a quick lesson on how to mat our photos so I'll be all set to do so when we get back from our trip. I'm pretty happy with my choices. They'll be the focal point of the photo collection we're going to build on our dining room wall. I can't wait to put my skills to work further though. I find myself seeing things all the time that I want to shoot when I don't have my camera. Doh!

They've both been cropped to an 8 x 10" aspect ratio and I can't wait to see how they look matted! For our last class we're having a little show of sorts at our teacher's place with food and wine. He said sometimes the Arlington Arts Center likes to display some of the work. I'm not sure how that ends up happening but it would be cool if that happened to one of mine!
