I have been suffering from some fatigue and sleep related issues again. Actually this has been going on for a while now yet suspiciously nothing is wrong with me. My thyroid checks out and iron levels are good. Nothing is more frustrating than going to bed early only to wake up a couple of hours before the alarm and not being able to fall back asleep. Hopefully I can figure out what the issue is before I have to resort back to caffeine in the afternoon.
I love Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays. My brother and sister-in-law are flying in from Phoenix for the week tonight. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with them. I am in charge of the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie this year and my parents are hosting. Next year we are hoping to host at the house. I wanted to this year but I had a feeling we wouldn't be ready and I was right.
Little man is still having spits of discomfort from the molars working their way in. I thought I felt one of them broken through last week but now I'm not so sure. It's been over a month and I really hope he gets some relief from it soon. Overall his mood has been better but he has still been having his moments, poor kid. We have been transitioning him from bottles of formula to cups of milk. This has gone well once we found a sippy cup he liked. Previously we had tried to get him used to using a cup and he seemed to like one with a straw the best for water. With milk though he just wasn't drinking it so I went back to one with a spout that I had previously tried and that did the trick. Currently he is still getting some formula, mostly in lieu of an afternoon snack, just because we have some and are using it up, but this transition has gone very well considering I was expecting it to be more difficult. He's eating lots of food too these days including peanut butter and jelly on cut up wheat bread. Yeah, he's a fan. I can't wait to see him stuffing his face with mashed potatoes on Thursday.
