Nursery, Nearly Finished

Here's how things are coming along in the room. We're still awaiting a few items on order, some bookends, throw pillow inserts and a replica Irish road sign (that says Dublin, of course). Also we're still in need of crib sheets, a changing pad cover among other things that are on our registry. The decorating will evolve as necessary, most notably the 8x10 of Jake and I on the shelf will eventually be a photo of our little family. I'm really happy with the random collection of things going on in the room though and as Jake says, the room is cozy. (I just realized that I'm on Jake's computer and therefor logged into Blogger as him. I guess this increases his post count, artificially...)

The globe lights up and will serve as the nightlight.

Please ignore the random box lid of stuff on the floor. It's the last of stuff to be gone through and purged.

Above the lamp here are my and Jake's handmade birth announcements along with the ring plate from our wedding which is stamped "All You Need is Love 7-25-09". Jake requested a clock and I obliged with that awesome bicycle clock from Amazon. Next to the bike will sit our little guy's initial, which is in hiding for now.

Thanks to Dubs for photo-bombing a couple of these. She LOVES the rug in this room, or maybe it's the baby powder smell she enjoys, don't know.
