It was a good weekend. I learned a few very valuable things in the process. First off, it's probably not best to have three ciders while watching soccer and then head to a sparkling wine tasting. I didn't end up "over-served" but I had a wicked headache come evening. Next, never believe it when things seem to be moving along smoothly. Yesterday morning we were booking some activities in New Zealand now that our itinerary is worked out. One tour website claimed they had two morning and one afternoon time so we attempted to book in the afternoon as we'll be driving that morning. Got an email later in the day that they can't do an afternoon tour that day and we have to figure something else out. Sigh. I'm wondering when I'll hear back from them given the whole 17 hour time difference and all. Lastly musical groups with the word "Tenor" in their name will not necessarily be stuffy and boring. The Canadian Tenors/NSO concert at the Kennedy Center last night was flippin' fantastic. Those young gentlemen can really belt out some tunes, I was wholely impressed.
In other news I think it's time to visit my physician. I have some questions about my appetite. I seem to feel hungry, full and nothing in between these days. Ever since my marathon training I've definitely been struggling with the hungry-all-the-time thing but I thought that would subside once I returned to a more "normal" level of fitness. Sadly that has not been the case. For example if I have a bowl of Cheerios, almond milk and fruit for breakfast around 6:30am I'm guaranteed to be hungry again by the time I get to work at 7:30. It's pretty annoying. I ate a large, plain, egg white omelet with a slice of whole wheat toast this morning. I actually didn't feel hungry again until 8:30 or 9:00. So the protein helped a little but still, I don't want to be snacking all morning. I'm inclined to think that I'm just not eating the right foods but I can't help but wonder if there's more to it. I'm not "suffering" any weight loss so I don't know. Time to stop self-diagnosing and ask.
It got cold outside finally. (Okay compared to other parts of the country my 30-degree morning isn't actually that cold, but for me it was.) I'll admit it, I kinda love this weather for the sole reason that I flat iron my hair and it stays that way for like 3 days unless I workout. So is my life, winter full of good hair days, summer full of bad hair days.
Hope everyone has a spectacular week!
