So what the heck is this you might ask? (Image via) Well it's what I am thinking is going to be a huge improvement on the stock camera strap that came with my Canon DSLR. I couldn't seem to find a decent photo of someone actually wearing this to post here but there is a nifty little video on this guy's website, Lens Loop. After reading a review of it on the Digital Photography School site I decided I needed to try it out. I am definitely one of those people whose neck aches them after a day of lugging around my camera. Putting one arm through just makes it more difficult to get the camera up for a quick shot. And during warm months the back of my neck gets hot, hot, hot. I thought this was a pretty ingenious design and decided it was worth the $35 to try it out, especially with our upcoming trip. I'll let you know how it works out.
Speaking of travel I wanted to give regular readers of this blog (all like 3 of you) that sometime between now and Christmas I'll be going on a blogging hiatus that will likely last into February. Things are getting pretty busy getting ready for the holidays and travel plus I'm taking some time to get through a backlog of housekeeping things that need to be done. Don't give up on me though, I'll be back rambling at you about useless crap in no time. And I'll be sure to put in a few more posts to wish everyone a happy holiday.
