It's been one of those mornings where I'm feeling a little like Santa. I'm out for the rest of the week but tomorrow my coworkers are throwing a "spare change pizza party" to raise extra money for the Combined Federal Campaign. I just bequeathed the bowl of change from my office to their cause even though I won't be here tomorrow. I have no idea how much money there was but it was a cereal bowl about 3/4 full of coins, mostly quarters, nickels and dimes. There are very few vending machines in our office so aside from the occasional intern needing meter money the change wasn't getting used. Time to empty the bowl and start again.
While out running an errand I stopped into the McDonald's next to my office and picked up a couple of gift cards. Two of my coworkers hit up the McD's nearly every morning for their coffee fix so I decided their next week or so worth of morning coffee would be my Christmas gift to them. I left the gift cards on their chairs just now. They are going to be so surprised.
Have I mentioned that I love this time of year?
