Random Photos

So here's a very random collection of snapshots from the past week. We start out at Saturday's DC United match.

They were giving away inflatable bam bams and during warmups, as you can see above, the guy in red was taking a beating from his buddies.
This was my first wearing of my DC United women's jersey and I love it!
As Screaming Eagles members we pretty much sing and chant the whole game and hold up signs when appropriate. Not only was it Najar bobblehead night but we were given his sign.
When the team scores they roll out this huge flag over the entire section. In this shot it was headed our way.

We ended up winning our softball game by forfeit on Wednesday evening but I didn't leave before snapping a few photos of my coworkers warming up.

I also went walking about on Wednesday at lunch and before our game and I took my camera this time!
Capital Bikeshare stations have popped up all over DC and Arlington. The program is a huge success and I see people riding these bikes everywhere.
Washington Circle
I wasted waaay too much time in my 20's at this place, but had lots of fun in the process.
So Borf was well on his way to becoming the next Banksy and then he got caught. This might be the only remnant of his art (if this is really his) left in the city. This small park is at Pennsylvania Ave NW and I think 26th St.
M Street heading in to Georgetown
This place caught my eye in Georgetown. I want to go back and try it out. I love hole in the wall places.
The simple architecture in residential Georgetown is just beautiful to me.
If you ever wondered who manages all of the street trees in the District it's the Casey Trees Foundation. They are a great group and if you're local and would like to get involved they hold regular tree-plantings. We've planted trees with them in SE DC and Adams Morgan/Kalorama area.
This is the P Street bridge on the way back out of Georgetown.
Rock Creek from the bridge
Finally this is one of many historic district signs in the city. Back in the days when I was at the planning office I worked on a project mapping out the locations of these signs so they could decide where to actually put them.
