I'm being informed that it's 66-degrees outside right now, hooray! The afternoon is dragging but only because it's Friday and gorgeous and I just want to be outside! I've got college hoops on the TV here in hopes it will help the afternoon cruise by.
I've had some random pain in my right hamstring this week. I had a great 6-mile run on Tuesday morning with a nice sprint at the end, but since then I've had a spot with varying pain (worse if I twist my leg). Although not debilitating by any means I've been putting off running again this week. I decided to finally try this morning only to realize the pain was still very much there so I quit pretty much as I got started. It's discouraging with the marathon only 7 days away now, but I can't just skip running until then. Of course the pain subsided by the time I got to work so I might take some pills and give the run another try after work. It's frustrating to have this to worry about now that the race is so close! I'm determined to power through.
We enjoyed a quick St. Patrick's Day celebration at our local Irish pub, Sine. I met Jake around 5:30 and we shared a couple of beers and some conversation with an extremely kind gentleman who is apparently the #2 member of the Sine mug club. To make matters more interesting, this guy was acquainted with the gentleman who is the #1 member of the mug club. #1 was also in the bar, came over to say hello, give me some beads and tell me I was the most beautiful woman in the bar. Best compliment of the week! We headed out around 7:00 in order to get home in time for the Wisconsin game. There was actually a line to get into the bar by the time we left, not surprising for St. Patrick's Day though.
