A Solution and a Problem

The fantastic news is that Carmax came through for us in getting our cars off our hands. Well, at least mine for right now. We didn't have high hopes after the low ball offer we got at the Honda dealership and they exceeded our expectations. They offered us $3,500 more for my car and $2,200 more for Jake's than the dealership. We were floored. We sold them mine on the spot but have to hold on to Jake's until we get the new car. I will likely never trade in a vehicle again at a place where I plan on buying, unless I'm buying at Carmax that is!

So the problem is that our salesman at the Honda dealership seems completely unmotivated to sell us a car. We didn't hear from him as I mentioned previously and we again haven't heard from him since we were there two nights ago. And Jake left a message for him today!! The other big local Honda dealership has what we want in stock according to their online inventory so I think we're planning to just go there if we don't hear from this guy by the time I get home from work on Monday. I liked the guy at first and wanted to give him our business. I'm not a fan of the high pressure sale but this is a most ridiculous opposite. Wish us luck!

The wine tasting event at EatBar was pretty great today. It was a bit more serious than we were expecting but that was good. We sampled 20 wines, compared which ones we both liked and re-sampled those to narrow it down to three we wanted to buy. It was a well organized event and I'm looking forward to when they have another one. My run went better than expected this morning despite my not getting much sleep and having some sinus issues going on. I could definitely tell I've been slacking on the running a bit though and have to work harder to make up for a little bit of lost time. I'm glad to be out of the slump though.

Tonight Jake is off playing poker with some friends so Dubs and I (well, just I) cried our way through 'Letters to John'. It wasn't so bad. Out of all the Sparks based films I've seen I cried the worst through 'A Walk to Remember'.
