Happy day after St. Paddy's Day! I was treated to homemade soda bread and store bought green cookies upon arrival to the office yesterday. I was also treated to the first day in my new office (we all relocated down a few floors as part of an overall agency reorganization). I have a smaller office now but it is a corner with two windows and I inherited a mini fridge so I can't complain. I was going to wear the infamous green dress that I was wearing when I tripped last year and busted up my chin but decided to opt for a green cardigan instead since I already featured the dress here. I won't lie, this isn't my favorite outfit, but it works. It looked much better with my brown pumps but I didn't duck into the ladies room until later in the day when I was wearing my commute shoes (Puma slip-ons). I have had that gray skirt for over a decade now, it is still in great shape and it still fits because of its' A-line shape. It just fits differently, most notably where the waist sits. It actually sits at my waist instead of below it like it used to. I WILL age gracefully, I WILL, I WILL! And you will notice, as I said previously, the 5th floor bathroom is exactly the same as the 8th floor one although the light is marginally better. I also got new monitors which give me a better representation of the photo than before, so there is that.
In a completely spontaneous move I ordered a trampoline for our backyard. Don't tell Jake, I haven't broken the news to him yet. It was a well-reviewed, slightly smaller framed model that popped up on Woot! for a good price. I couldn't resist. I think the boys will enjoy it for a long time and anything that helps wear them out is a good thing. I feel like we focus pretty hard on not spoiling them but to me, motivating physical activity, is a good justification.
Happy Friday folks!
