We are very lucky that my parents live just a little over an hour away from us. They are so helpful, I can't even begin to express how amazing that is. Right now, as I am typing this, they are at my house keeping an eye on the guys installing our new replacement windows so that we don't have to take time away from work. Now that my dad is retired they have offered to take care of things like this for us which is such a huge help. They love to see the boys too and watch them for us frequently which is wonerful. I am so thankful for their generosity and proximity.

Our house was built in the late 60's I think and the windows were original to it when we bought it two years ago. As you might imagine the wood frame, single pane-ness of them was terribly inefficient and drafty. I am so glad to get them replaced finally, as this was our first big planned expense for the house. It will be nice not to have to live through another drafty winter.
