It has hit me like a ton of bricks. First the sciatic nerve pain set in, earlier than last time and slightly to the right of my tailbone from carrying Declan. The doc gave me some back exercises to help with it although they all involve laying flat on my back which is a position that is not terribly comfortable or really good to be in for any length of time these days. Still I do what I can and it helps. I passed my gestational diabetes screening but the blood work showed some anemia. It's funny because I feel like I am eating better this time around but I have now added iron supplements to the pile of pills I take each day (pre-natal, calcium and DHA). Worst though is that, at least this week, the upset stomach that plagued me first trimester has started to return a little. I thought I was done with that, ugh. I do have more energy though and have been able to actually get some stuff done around the house after work these days.
Work has been busier and I am looking forward to our trip to Maine in a few weeks. Hopefully the weather will be nice this year. Reston approved the plan for our back yard fence project so Jake has been hard at work staking it out, ordering the supplies and as of last night, digging holes. It'll be nice to be able to let the dog out and not worry about her wandering onto the neighbor's property. We also had a nice propane grill delivered yesterday. Can't wait to get that sucker together and start cooking on it.
Did I mention I am a planet? People on the Metro pretend not to see me so they don't have to offer me a seat. Sooo polite... (28 week selfie)
