When It Snows...

I came home yesterday to find our travel documents for our trip to Jamaica in the mail and it made me feel just a bit less annoyed about the impending snow (which has been falling here all morning but fortunately not really accumulating). We are really excited to get away for a few days and enjoy sun and sand. I know Declan will enjoy his time with his grandparents who he adores so much.

Upon speaking to our real estate agent last night we have learned that the market simply hasn't picked back up yet after the bad winter. There isn't really much we can do about that as it doesn't relate to our property specifically. We had three showings this past weekend and I can only hope as we creep closer towards spring those numbers will increase until the right person comes along. I am trying to stay positive about the whole situation since for the most part the lag is out of our control but when mother nature just keeps sending crappy weather it doesn't help.

On Saturday we were actually able to get out into the yard and finally get some more leaves cleaned up. We put out at least 10 bags for collection yesterday and the front yard looks pretty nice. Well, it looks as nice as it can look for a landscaped space in which none of the plants have bloomed yet. I do have tulips coming up though. I hope I get to enjoy them before the animals feast on them. We have some foxes living around our cul de sac and let me tell you, I may not know what the fox says but I know the stink it leaves behind when it is in mating season. Yuck!

Not to mention my boys of Liverpool FC are in second place in the standings currently! It has been a pretty great season so far and even if they don't win the league they will likely qualify for the Champions' League by finishing in the top four. It's good stuff.

When the snow is gone (again) I will try to share some pictures of the yard as it starts to bloom for spring.
