Ummm, okay so we are still alive, not that my few readers had any doubts of that. It has been a very trying time since the new year started. Mother Nature and general bad luck (as well as other peoples' stupidity) have dealt us some unsavory cards but we are pushing through. In short the management company at our condo (yes it is still currently our condo) provided outdated materials to our awesome buyer who got concerned and pulled out of contract. This happened to another seller in the fall but they were able to reconcile with their seller in time but we could not convince ours that the financial stability of the building was good. The management company knew this was a problem and sent the same packet out again anyway. (Jeffrey Charles and Associates, your staff is crap and you know it.) We have since re-worked the packet ourselves and just ran it by them for an updated cover sheet. Of course since then Mother Nature has laid on the winter from hell and home sales in general are down. Traffic over there has been super slow so we lay in wait for another offer. Financially, things are fine but it would really like to be done with this, it is quite stressful.
We seem to have moved past the string of illnesses in our house. Declan's last four teeth aside from the two year molars are all coming in at once. He's handling it as well as one would expect a 15-month old to handle something like that but I would definitely like my happy little guy back. And speaking of, he's not so little. At his 15-month appointment he weighed in at nearly 30 pounds and was 35 inches tall. We have to be very careful as he can easily reach things on the kitchen counter tops if they even remotely close to the edge. He's working on walking (and balancing all of that weight) but isn't consistent yet. I'm thinking we won't see consistent steady walking until 18 months due to his size.
The house is great although I would like to put some more freakin' furniture in it sometime soon. I took the dog to the vet for her annual last weekend and she is doing great. And speaking of dogs, looks like my brother and sister-in-law are giving dog ownership another go-round. I hope it works out for them, the photo of the puppy I got sent last night was just adorable. Next weekend we are going to DC United's home opener courtesy of Jake's cousin who moved to town recently to work for the team. Pretty excited about that.
So that's what I've got for now. See, you haven't been missing much. I will close by saying I think NBC's coverage of the Olympics was pretty craptastic with the exception of Tara and Johnny on NBCSN. I want to cry when I think about how many more Olympics they have coverage for in the future.
