Tentatively Speaking

We have a house under contract. Jake is going for our home inspection today which I, unfortunately, had to miss because I am in training for work all this week (Illustrator, yay!). We've got our financing and insurance in place so I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly today. The owners seem to have taken very good care of the place in the time they have lived there and made a lot of improvements so hopefully we aren't looking at any major issues. If all goes well we will close on it in a few weeks. In the meantime we are going to spend some time getting the condo partially packed up and in order so that once we close we can move out of it (well, except for what we use to stage it) and get it on the market for sale. I'll save the details on the house for when it is actually ours since you never know what might happen. Keep your fingers crossed for us. House hunting is exhausting and I'd rather not have to start that process all over again.

And guess who surprised me this morning by being standing up in his crib when I went in to get him. The little guy looks so tall, he had his arms draped over the crib railing even though we dropped the mattress to the lowest level. I have this crazy worry about him figuring out how to climb out of it. That happening before he can walk is just preposterous though so I need to relax. It is time to put the crib rail protectors on though now that he can reach the rail with his little chompers. I'll try to snag a photo next time.

Thanks Katie! The inspection went well with the exception of some minor issues, however the radon test came back high so the sellers will have to install a remediation system to bring the levels down. That's pretty much something they can't push back on. I feel bad that they've been living in it with high Radon levels.
