Clean Up

First I will just mention to anyone in the DC/Northern Virginia area who might be in need of some cell phone repair I can now highly recommend Wigo Cellular Repair Clinic. My repair was a little pricey because the Galaxy SIII has a larger screen, but $99 for a new screen was much better than $600 for a whole new phone. According to their site iPhone screen repairs tend to run a little cheaper. In most instances they can do it in an hour or two and they are completely professional and provided me great customer service.

Things at the office have been a little nuts. It's the time of year when our grants start going out and I've been trying to update some of last year's maps on the subject. Unfortunately the information I am given to work with isn't the best quality so I have to do a lot of eyeballing and editing. I am currently waiting for yet another round of updated spreadsheets so I am fixing some incomplete work one of our summer interns did, sigh.

Declan had his 9-month appointment this morning. I didn't think this one had shots but I was wrong. He got the second dose of hep-b vaccine. He also had to have blood taken for a lead/anemia test. He was such a trooper. He cried briefly after the shot. Then we went down to the lab for the test and he actually kept his composure pretty well as the technician pricked his finger and then squeezed out the blood sample she needed. He cried just a bit right after the first squeeze of his finger but then Jake was able to distract him with some ridiculous daddy dancing. He was babbling and giggling by the time we were back in the car.

Finally, Jake shared this Ginger Map of Europe with me this morning. It's interesting. I wish I could see what North America looks like on the same scale.
