Trippin'

I am BAH-ston bound yet again! Well not until October actually. I'm flying up to visit with both my Boston-based friend and my Connecticut-based friend together. Girls weekend! GAH! I'm very excited. This will be my first time away from the boys since Declan was born. He'll be 11 months old at that point and hopefully not running daddy too ragged that weekend. Jake is more than capable of handling things for a weekend but I told him he could always call in grandmom and granddad reinforcements if he needs to.

I was able to get a pretty good price on my airfare for this trip. I think for a weekend trip anywhere within 2 hours we consider under $300 a decent deal. Roundtrip to Boston out of DCA was looking to be just under $250 on JetBlue (love!) when I first searched. Before I pulled the trigger I emailed my friend to confirm. While I waited to hear back I left my office. I came back to find she had confirmed but the JetBlue search page had expired. When I re-ran the search the price of the return trip actually dropped, can you believe that luck? That never happens, at least not to me. That is good stuff.

We are celebrating this weekend. My birthday and our anniversary fall in the middle of next week so we are planning on going to brunch and dinner out this weekend to celebrate. I wasn't really looking to make a big deal of either event so some low key meals out seem like the perfect thing. Regardless of what we do time with my boys is always a welcome event for me.
