I can't say that Declan really has a certain style but there are definitely certain things that I can say I wouldn't dress him in. I tend to steer clear of onesies with silly sayings on them or "ironic baby tees" like "spit happens" or "late night drinking club" etc. I find that I do veer a little more towards preppy stuff but I don't want to go overboard with that either. There's so much of it available though. I think I have button-down gingham shirts for him in 3 colors. Anyway I ordered the above romper from Old Navy because I thought the pirate face was cute and not too over the top. I didn't look too closely at the other product photos. It was on sale for cheap and in his size so I bought it. When it arrived I quickly realized that on the back there was a butt print. Yeah it's kind of cute and funny but not my style. The material is super soft and it's comfy for him no doubt so he will wear it but I suppose I'll have to be more attentive for random butt prints on the things I order for him, ha ha!
