As a side note I must add that we used to refer to Sunday afternoons/evenings when too much beer was consumed after kickball games as "bad decision Sundays". Oh have times have changed when my bad decision days revolve around too much caffeine and not too much alcohol.

To the Max
I have driveled on in the past about my escapades with caffeine. I seem to have developed a bit of a hypersensitivity to it, no doubt from massive amounts of soda drinking during and immediately after undergrad. I have gone through numerous periods of elimination from it only to fall back into the habit during graduate school. I finally was able to give up regular consumption of it a few months before I got pregnant which was no doubt for the best. Since then I have had the occasional Diet Coke while out for a meal but nothing more than that and this has suited me just fine. For some reason though, today, despite my getting a rare 7 solid hours of sleep last night (which means I actually fell asleep and stayed asleep from about 10pm until 5:15 this morning without waking up even briefly) I was starting to feel particularly fatigued towards the end of lunch. Given I ate a salad this is surprising. I guess the weekend wore me out. I was feeling bold so I decided to hit up what remained of my old soda stash in the fridge here. Unfortunately Pepsi Max was my only option. I was only going to drink half of the can but once I got going it seems it was gone pretty quickly. Pepsi Max actually has a higher caffeine content then Mt. Dew and I must admit I'm feeling a little wired right now. Nothing like a "bad decision Monday" to get the week off to an interesting start. Hopefully I didn't ruin my evening with a potential crash later.
