The little guy has been putting things in his mouth for quite some time but lately he's been starting to really gnaw and chew on things, including our knuckles and fingers given the opportunity. Last night he was chewing away on Jake's knuckle and we discovered that there might be a tooth getting ready to come in. It's not really obvious yet so we're waiting to see what happens but this would kind of make sense given his current chewing behavior. He doesn't seem too fussy about it though so I'm not sure. When I try to look at his lower gums I don't see a definite white spot yet but there is some ridginess (scientific term) that wasn't there before. I'm surprised that this would be starting at just over 4 months although it's not uncommon. I was such a slow developer in the teeth department. I didn't get my first until 8 months. I didn't lose my first baby tooth until second grade and my wisdom teeth didn't start coming in until I was out of my teenage years. I guess he doesn't take after me in that respect.
Today is the first day of spring. There is snow/rain in the forecast for Monday. This makes me incredibly unhappy. What the heck Mother Nature? What. The. Heck.
