Ginger in Progress?

This little guy was so good all weekend. I mean he's usually pretty good, but typically we get a happy boy on Saturday and a somewhat more cranky boy on Sunday. This time around he was really happy both days. On Saturday I took him over to my friend's house for an afternoon with "the girls". He charmed them, completely, and was so happy. One of the girls is expecting in a few months and she said he has set high expectations for how her little girl will behave. I told her that it was a good day and that everyone has good and bad, she will see.

Yesterday we headed down to Chadwick's in Old Town again for lunch. Despite having to wait for a table the little guy was very good. He chewed away on his Sophie giraffe and took in all of the sights and sounds while we enjoyed some mimosas. It's nice to be able to take him places and I realize that this time is fleeting. As soon as he's mobile it won't be so easy and he'll be more of a handful. Thankfully we have a few more family friendly places that we enjoy so hopefully we can keep taking him places. I like the idea of getting him used to being out of the house.

I'm also looking forward to being able to spend more time outside, if for no other reason than I will be able to get better photos. The light in our place just isn't that great as we only have windows on one side and we have a lack of overhead lighting due to concrete ceilings. I've been working to get better with my flash but I ended up using Photoshop to fix up some of the under-exposure issues I have. Of course this week they are calling for what will hopefully be the last threat of snow for the winter. It's one of those storms where if the temperature is just so we could get a up to 6 inches or we could get all rain. I guess we'll see what happens. I wouldn't mind having a snuggle day at home with the little guy.

And yes, that hair is starting to look a little more red but it's also getting thinner. He's got some dry skin on his scalp too which affects how the hair looks. We're still waiting to see what happens over time. His hair is so straight right now and neither Jake nor I have thin straight hair so I doubt it will stay that way.
