Date Night

Saturday night we spent our first night away from the little guy. My parents graciously watched him for us while we hung out in Baltimore for the night. We had a hotel room in Harbor East and enjoyed drinks at a nearby pub and a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant. It was all really nice. We had a great time talking and catching up about a lot of things, including but also other than our son. We agreed that we've become and even better team as a result of our new responsibilities. I definitely think we communicate even better which is so important. Hopefully that will continue. We also laughed, a lot. Not that we don't on a regular basis but it was really nice to relax and cut loose a little more than normal while we were out. Meanwhile he was enjoying grandmom and granddad's latest acquisition, a jumperoo.
He's not sitting up yet, he's too young, but his neck control is excellent now and this thing has a deep enough seating area to give him plenty of support as he works on making it move. He liked it so much that I caved and ordered the same one for at home too. It will take up a little more space then we would like right now but it's worth it as it will help him develop more motor skills. He was a very good boy for my parents and they are excited to watch him again which is music to my ears!
I'm not sure if his intent stares are at the panda or at himself in the mirror. He just wants to know when we're going back to the grandparents' house.
