A welcome

For this of you who have been to our place you know that Dubs spent her first 6 months with us scratching the paint of our door out of anxiety. She has since stopped and so yesterday Jake stripped it in preparation for repainting.

Any thought we had of refinishing for a wood finish were dashed by the patches found hiding underneath. Still we might put some nice molding on before painting.

 

Not sure what happened there but at least we can easily cover it with primer and paint. It's really weird to see a dark colored door after 3 1/2 years of it being light.

We took a nice long walk this morning to Long Bridge Park and back to help negate my laziness of yesterday. I hung out at Ladies and Babies for most of the afternoon, it was such a great party, and then fell asleep on the couch at 8pm last night. I proceeded to go to bed at 11 and slept until 7am. Needless to say I'm feeling pretty rested today.
