Danish of Shame

Update on the Coke machine: I haven't visited it yet. Jake had soccer last night so we couldn't go down to Noodles for dinner yet. I'll keep you posted. I've gotten a number of responses to my Facebook query about it from people telling me where they used one (lots of burger joints apparently) and that they thought it was awesome. I've also been given some of the folks' favorite flavor combinations which are so cool to hear about!

So I wandered over to the Post Office a bit ago to mail out a birthday gift to our oldest niece in Milwaukee. As I have mentioned previously, trips to the Post Office can be a bit precarious because I have to pass a number of places that tempt me to stop in on my way back to the office. This morning I caved and crossed the street to stop in Au Bon Pain. When I used to work for the District Office of Planning there was an ABP across the street and it was pretty much the only restaurant nearby. My Friday habit became a cheese danish and a Nantucket Nectars. In my 20's this habit wasn't so much of an issue. Nowadays though it is dangerous. Of course you know what I came back to the office with, a cheese danish the size of my head and a Nantucket Nectars orange mango (aka liquid crack). I admit to closing my office door so as to hide my gluttony from my coworkers. It's that kind of morning.

And while I'm on a roll with confessions, there is another. Some of you may or may not have noticed an additional page has been linked to the top of the old blog here. Those of you using an RSS feed like Google Reader would definitely not have seen it. Check it out, we have had a little secret that we've decided is no longer necessary to keep secret...
