This post will just be a random collection of things and for that I say "I'm sorry" and "you're welcome".
First let's talk about how I had a dream last night that Jake was eating kale. This is crazy-amusing not only because I haven't bought kale in months (really need to though) but also because he was eating it all on his own without any intervention from me. If you know Jake you know that the chances of that happening are so beyond nil that I can't even begin to quantify it. I've actually been remembering more of my dreams over the past few weeks which is unusual for me. It's been, well, interesting.
Papa John's cheese pizza (which I got for free last night, woo points!) is one of my favorite things in the world but for some reason last night's dinner is wreaking havoc on my stomach today. I'm going to blame the Girl Scout cookies I ate afterwards instead though. I eat the pizza all the time but the cookies only about 2 weeks out of the year. I'm deciding how long I will sit here staring at the map I'm not really working on before giving up and going home. I should track down some ginger ale before I give up.
Our sweet doggie has adapted very well to being home alone during the days again. She hasn't chewed up anything and she's even abandoned her old habit of pulling tissues out of the wastebasket and leaving them scattered around on the floor. Man I love that dog. I would have never imagined she would have turned out to be such a good (sweet and well-behaved) dog and it only took, what, 2 years? Ha!
I have gotten sucked into playing spades sometimes with my coworkers at lunch time. Not only does this make me incredibly geeky but apparently very lucky. They have named a hand for me. The Karen is when you go low with the Queen of Spades in your hand and succeed. I'm so honored.
Jake would like someone to make a decision for him regarding work, but I can't really get into any details about it here so I suspect you all won't be of much help to him.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival, which is the worst time of year to be a non-tourist/commuter in DC, is scheduled from March 20-April 27th this year. It's so long because they have a lot of events, it's the 100th anniversary and they are never really sure when the trees will actually bloom and reach peak. I wouldn't be surprised if they bloomed earlier than March 20th this year though given the mild winter we've had.
Time to track down that ginger ale. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Finally, anyone familiar with LUSH cosmetics? One opened in the mall near me late last year and I've been intrigued but not enough to go inside yet. Just wondering if it's good stuff or just a gimmick.

The Girl Scout cookies are reaking havoc on YMCA also. One of my fellow lifeguards spent $25 on cookies and left them out in the break area table.
Give Dubs a tummy rub for me and tell her to keep up the good work.
Jake - Sorry about the work stress. Perhaps taking Dublin to work with you one day and judging her reaction to the situation might help. Dogs are the best judges!
