Back to Work

The weekend, of course, flew by. Thanksgiving dinner and much dessert was consumed. My BFF came, we had a great time and she headed out. My brother and sister-in-law are halfway to Phoenix. We're down to the last slice of pumpkin chocolate chip cookie pie, which was fantastic by the way with the exception of the chocolate chips, despite my rolling them in flour, all sank to the bottom. Liverpool tied Man City. The Redskins actually won. We've started actually working out our itinerary for New Zealand. I finally got the oil changed in the car. I stocked us up on holiday brews. The only thing we didn't accomplish was getting the Christmas tree up but that is on the agenda for this evening. And I did virtually no shopping. I may have put in one small online order for a cell phone case for me and a small gift for a friend, but that's it, I swear!

I've had a few terrible headaches over the past couple of days which is unusual for me when I'm in "no caffeine mode". Not sure what the deal is but I hope they don't last. My eye is almost completely healed. Actually if I would stop wearing my contacts for one more day the minimal residue would probably disappear faster but I just got so tired of the glasses.

I survived my first meat-free Thanksgiving with no problems. I'll tell you what did get to me over the weekend. Pepperoni. I made homemade pizzas on Saturday night. Mushroom and red pepper for Angel and I and pepperoni with pineapple for Jake. I'm so used to just snarfing pepperonis while putting them on pizza I had to make a conscious effort to not eat them. I survived though, reminding myself I didn't need all that sodium.

And now I'm back in front of this computer mapping out some gnarly statistics. Not the most interesting way to get back into the week but it's better than nothing. Now begins the season of baking and celebrating. The holiday party invites have started showing up, including one very special holiday party that I'm being taken to that I'll elaborate on in a week or so. Very excited!

Have a great week everyone!
