As Luck Would Have It

This is one of my favorite photos from our wedding day. I didn't have a bridal party so my mom and grandmom were my "preparation committee" so to speak. It was really great sharing that time before the big day with them, it made it very special.

And speaking of special, my mom is a pretty special woman. I may not have thought so at the time (actually, I did) but I was lucky enough to be raised by a stay-at-home mom. She was always there for whatever I needed, rides to school if I missed the bus, rides home from school after band practice, club meetings or sports (if marching band counts as a sport). She always took care of everything without forgetting. Now that I'm an adult I appreciate my mom even more than I did when I was a kid. She's an extremely kind, thoughtful woman who has more to give than anyone else I know. I'm looking forward to giving her the chance to be a grandmother because I know my children will love her just as much as I do. In summary, as luck would have it, I think I have the best mom in the world.
