Happy Valentine's Day!

So last night's drive home from dinner was filled with my horrible singing, belting out phrases from terrible 80's love songs. I thought it would be fun to put the love songs station on the XM radio in the car. Jake was cracking up. Vermilion did not disappoint. That is exactly what I posted on Twitter to the Neighborhood Restaurant Group who owns the place along with a number of our other favorite places around the DC area. I will admit that I pretty much suck at Twitter but at least I'm good at spreading the praise around.

My good news is that despite the fact that both of our point and shoot cameras are on their last leg, I actually took some photos of our weekend events and will post them up this evening. I'm really trying not to be the worst blogger ever, I promise. I mean no one could be worse than Jake who has posted a grand total of 2 times here, or maybe 3, I can't remember.

So I'm resisting the urge to get super-sappy here on Valentine's Day. I know you don't want to hear it. So I'll just say that I think I'm a very lucky girl. After putting up with a lot of crap for the majority of my early to mid-20's I was able to learn to respect myself and let someone in. To Jake, for being honest and real, I love you. Happy Valentine's Day!
