It is the middle of October. Already. Really? They are starting to set up the ice skating rink down at Pentagon Row. Didn't they just take it down? Oh, right, we had all of those crazy 95-degree weather days in between. I'd put them out of my mind. I finally wrapped up this tedious work project that I've been working at, on and off, for over a month now. It's been painful yet educational at the same time. All of these things I keep saying I want to get finished just keep slipping away from me. I told Jake that I hope it is a productive winter. Not to mention my carefully crafted marathon training schedule begins November 1. Time to stock up on some protein packed snacks! I really feel like this year got away from me although a lot of good things have come out of it so far. Still, I have two more races coming up, followed by Halloween, a visit from my in-laws, our Thanksgiving overseas, a trip to Connecticut to visit an old friend and then Christmas! My friend B asked me yesterday what I was doing for New Years and I couldn't believe that I actually had to start thinking about that already! Yikes! As much as we try to take each day and enjoy life it really does slip by so quickly. I hope that if we're lucky enough to have our family grow that it doesn't continue to slip by at this rate.
Tonight, dinner consists of all things bacon at Restaurant 3. I can't wait! (image via)
