Today is one of those fall days that looks like fall but doesn't feel like fall. I took advantage of the 70 degree weather to get a walk in at lunch time. I did wish I had my camera however the brightness of the sun would have made for some harsh photographs. The leaves seem to be at that perfect fall transition in a lot of places and lots of red, orange and yellow is mixed in with some lingering green. There were some nice leaf carpets on the grass as well. The city seemed very alive today, full of tourists and locals alike, out and about for the lunch hour. There was a ceremony of some sort taking place at the WWII memorial with music and everything. Days like today make me sad I have a desk job, while days like yesterday, full of wind and downpours make me glad. At least I am able to make a short mid-day escape. I returned to a delicious lunch of overnight oats made with greek yogurt, vanilla soy milk, honey and dried cranberries. I just can't get enough of those dried cranberries these days. I hope the nice weather holds out for the weekend as we plan on paying a visit to the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on the National Mall. I can only hope this event provides ample opportunity for whatever my next photography class assignment is.
