Another race weekend

The Army Ten Miler is this Sunday. I was worried that the state of my sinuses this week was going to prohibit me from actually running but I am feeling much better today and even logged a nice 6 miles this morning before work. I'm headed out to the race expo at lunch today to get my packet and also look for a pair of arm sleeves since I suspect Sunday morning will be a touch chilly. It'll be nice to be able to easily remove them once the race starts and stash them in my belt pouch. They look something like the picture here.

Yesterday was my big brother's birthday so I wanted to send him some happy birthday wishes. I know he and my sister-in-law are psyched because hockey season has started again and they are huge Caps fans.

My photo class is going very well. I'm building a lot of confidence in my ability as a photographer and have been pleased with the results of my assignments so far. This week our assignment is simply to shoot what makes us happy. There are so many things, not sure how I will decide. I might do a tribute to Arlington since I love our town so much. We'll see. We've got dinner plans with good friends in Baltimore tomorrow evening and some fall fun planned for Sunday afternoon after my race. I'm really looking forward to the weekend a lot.
