Why it's called hell burger

I met a friend for dinner at Ray's Hell Burger in Courthouse last night. I was sweating fairly profusely after hoofing it up the hill from the Rosslyn Metro so what did I proceed to do? Order a super-spicy burger of course! I neglected to take a photo as I was busy catching up with my friend J, however my burger looked something like the image here but with pepper jack cheese and some jalapenos. Also eighty-six the tots and add sweet potato fries. Yum! I only ate half of it as it was rather large. I like spicy but this took me by surprise and gave me some nice hiccups. It was fantastic though and well worth the indigestion that I might still be feeling a little of this morning. If you go, keep in mind that the parking lot is full, the place is jumping at dinner time and you might have to wait in line. Also it is counter service and they only take cash. A second location, Ray's Hell Burger Too has opened up in the same little strip shopping center and they apparently have table service and non-beef burger options. Now pardon me while I go find some antacids... so worth it!
update 6/25/10: President Obama has visited this fine establishment for the second time, this time with the president of Russia!
